I love the now.
So where are we now? Well, we're back in Winter Garden, Florida. It's nice to be back, but we did enjoy our vacation, and seeing all our friends and family.
Back in the real world involves going back to work. Drew is a lifeguard at Typhoon Lagoon which is a Disney Water Park. It's a fun ship wrecked themed water park, more laid back than Blizzard Beach, Disney's other water park.
Drew's favorite attraction at the park is the 362,000 gallon tank where you can snorkel with sharks! They also have a water-coaster that's called crush 'n' gusher and that's my favorite attraction.
Drew is enjoying the lifeguard life. It's definitely not what he thought he would get off the ship doing but God always has a better plan. His hours aren't too bad. This summer will be long days for him, but only four days a week. That's the up side of 10 hour days I guess. Drew bought me an annual pass for the Disney parks so I can come and spend my afternoons after work at the water park waiting for him to get off of work.
(The ups and downs of having one car. Well, that doesn't sound like a down. Hahah)
My days are not as long. Wednesday-Saturday I work 10:45-4 and then on Sunday 9:45-3. What do I do you ask? Well I'm a swim instructor
Never in my lifetime would I have believed that I would have a job working in the water. Yet here I am, where my job consist of teaching others and showing a product for the water! God has definitely brought me a long way in my life but specifically my comfort zone. It's not big strides but little steps.
I have shorter days but am thankful for the job I have. Having one car kinda sucks because I have to get up with Drew and bring him to work by 8:30 when I don't have to be at work till two hours later. Then of course when I'm done he still had two or three hours left. But that's alright, I'm thankful for the jobs we have and that we're back on land.
I feel like I've been rambling and I'm sorry for that I just wanted to give an update to see what we are up too.
Most recently we went to Magic Kingdom when they were open for 24 hours, which I'm sure will be followed by more park time in the near future.
As summer is around the corner I wish everyone luck on end of the year finals and that you all stay cool.
Love,
Lexi
